Mission, Vision & Beliefs

Mission

At Douglas Elementary School, we aspire to cultivate curiosity and a love of learning in a joyful community, rooted in inclusivity, diversity, and respect for every individual. We strive to provide a quality and equitable education to all students to equip them to be brave, compassionate citizens of the world.

Vision

We will achieve this by fostering classroom communities that prioritize students’ social and emotional well-being and a growth mindset. These will be guided by caring, skilled teachers who recognize the value of collaborative learning and the use of innovative technology to prepare our students for the future. We strive to facilitate an enriching curriculum that supports our students as they work to meet grade-level standards designed around their unique needs. We value and lift up student voices and their individual perspectives.
