March Reading Challenge 2022      March Reading Challenge 2022
CONGRATULATIONS to the Douglas School Community! Students read a total of 291,119 minutes in the month of March! We celebrated with a special (IN PERSON!) community meeting. Doug the Eagle, our school mascot, made a special appearance. Representatives from Consigli Construction answered student questions and showed pictures of our new school. The staff put on a flash mob and sang creative lyrics to "Under the Boardwalk" which morphed into "Over the Boardwalk." How lovely to celebrate reading!

Picture a school organized around real-world problems that require the flexible application of concepts and skills with an eye toward identifying and developing kids’ passions. There is a combination of structure and “messing about." Students engage in a variety of experiences that ask them to contribute to building a healthy, sustainable and just world. Wow. Read it again and really picture it. Welcome to Douglas!
